Guide

Here's the flow from booking to departure, along with the commitments Moving Inn holds dear.

01From Booking to Departure
Arrive at the airport

We accommodate both domestic and international flights. Please call us after you arrive. *Shuttle pickup is also available from Minami-Chitose Station — convenient for guests arriving via Tomakomai Port.

Free shuttle pickup

We'll pick you up about 10 minutes after you call (about 15 minutes from Tokachi-Obihiro Airport). We can also store your personal vehicle while you're away.

Orientation, then departure

After checking your driver's license, inspecting the vehicle for existing damage, and completing the rental agreement, we'll spend 10–15 minutes carefully walking you through how everything works.

02300km a Day

Not a limit — a standard for peace of mind.

We set a driving guideline of 300km per day. This isn't meant to restrict your freedom — it's designed to maximize both the quality and safety of your trip.

Reason 01

For safety

Beyond 300km, monotonous scenery, long hours behind the wheel, and accumulated fatigue combine to sharply raise the risk of an accident. Bringing your family home safely is the non-negotiable foundation of any trip.

Reason 02

For trip satisfaction

Trips within 300km consistently score far higher on satisfaction. You can savor the scenery at a relaxed pace, fit in more stops along the way, and still have plenty of time left once you arrive.

Reason 03

For a trip you can truly live in

Travel too far and the appeal of a campervan starts to fade. 300km leaves room to watch the sunset, cook with local ingredients, and stop by a hot spring along the way.

*If you exceed this distance, an additional ¥110 (tax included) per km will be charged.

035 Rules for Safe Driving

To protect the safety of your family and loved ones, and the quality of your trip.

01

Avoid sudden starts

Starting off gently helps prevent the vehicle body from swaying or shaking.

02

Avoid sharp steering

A large vehicle body is vulnerable to sudden maneuvers, which raises the risk of tipping.

03

Avoid sudden braking

This prevents impact to your belongings and passengers, and ensures a safe stopping distance.

04

Have your passenger guide you when parking

For vehicles with large blind spots, guidance from outside the vehicle is by far the safest approach.

05

Keep your speed under
80km/h

At high speeds the vehicle is more affected by crosswinds, and going too fast can lead to serious accidents. Driving at a comfortable pace lets the vehicle's natural stability come through, so everyone on board can relax and enjoy the scenery.

04Notes for Your Trip

Please review these 3 requests before your trip.

01

Damage waiver

Just in case, we offer a damage waiver plan. Enrolling means you won't be charged for repair costs, NOC, and more. For details, see Damage Waiver / NOC.

02

Fuel at return

Please return the vehicle with a full tank, just as it was at departure. The Cresson Journey runs on diesel; all other vehicles use regular gasoline.

03

Cleaning

Please give the vehicle a light clean of any major mess or trash before returning it. If significant soiling is found inside the vehicle, a cleaning fee may apply.

*Full details will be provided again at the time of booking.
