This riding facility sits in the Nakagoryo 4-sen area of Furano, and the Furano Tourism Association’s page lists it as open year-round (hours: summer 8:30–16:30, winter 9:00–15:00; confirmed 2026-08-14). The menu includes a led horse ride and beginner lesson (30 minutes) and a forest trail trek (1 hour), among others; in winter, dog sledding is also listed. This is a western-style riding club located at Urimaku Nishi 33-sen 21-7 in Shikaoi. It accepts riders for a wide range of activities, from horse trekking and beginner riding to horse-drawn carriage and horse-drawn sleigh rides (official site, confirmed 2026-08-14). Pricing is listed on the official rates page: a led horse ride runs ¥3,000 for 15 minutes or ¥6,000 for 30 minutes, and a trail ride (trekking) runs ¥12,000 for 1 hour, ¥20,000 for 2 hours, or ¥30,000 for 3 hours. There’s even a full-day trail ride (¥50,000) for spending an entire day with a horse (confirmed 2026-08-14).

This is the option for people who want to hold the reins themselves and walk the fields of Tokachi, not just get a taste of the atmosphere on a led horse. Booking works by inquiry followed by a submitted application form, so this isn’t a facility you can drop into on the day. Regarding operations, the official page states: “Closed during the depths of winter for maintenance,” and notes that depending on the time of year, Wednesdays may also be a closed day (confirmed 2026-08-14). For a first ride that’s easy to walk into, Northern Horse Park in Tomakomai

Located at Misawa 114-7, Tomakomai. It’s easy to reach from the New Chitose Airport side, and beyond a sightseeing led horse ride and horse trekking, it also offers a horse-drawn carriage ride and stable tours — a theme-park-style facility overall (official site, confirmed 2026-08-14).

Per the official schedule, it’s open 9:00–17:00 from April 15 to November 5, and 10:00–16:00 from November 6 to April 9. It’s closed for just 5 days, April 10–14. Admission is ¥1,200 for adults and ¥600 for elementary school students during April 15–November 5 (winter season November 6–April 9: ¥700 for adults, ¥300 for elementary school students), and free for children under elementary-school age in either period (confirmed 2026-08-14). Individual activity fees may change with the season, so check the official site for those.
